"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Acts 2:46-47

Who and What is a Small Group

A Small Group is a community of believers who have committed themselves to meet regularly for the purpose of fellowship, discipleship, service and outreach. Specifically, this means:

•To provide spiritual and emotional support to members through meaningful Christian fellowship, including worshipping the Lord, sharing with and praying for one another, so that each member may be encouraged and find joy in their walk with God.
•To nurture members as disciples of Christ, by regularly studying and applying God's Word to their lives, so that they may develop a solid biblical foundation for daily living.
•To encourage the exercise of each member's spiritual gifts in service to others, by practising Christian hospitality, caring for one another and praying for the church, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
•To develop a culture of outreach, welcoming newcomers, sharing the gospel with our neighbours and helping new believers grow and be integrated into the body of Christ, so that each member is equipped and ready to fulfil the Great Commission.

Where and When do Small Groups meet?

Small groups meet typically weekly or twice a month, either at member's homes or in church.

Why are all strongly encouraged to be part of a Small Group?

"... Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." ~ Hebrews 10:24.25
